- In the huge market of consumer electronics in Hong Kong, integrated circuits with high-voltage and/or high-current capabilities are needed for applications ranging from drivers for wrist-watches, display back lighting, and computer display panels, to RF power amplifiers for cellular phones.
- The objective of this research is the design and development of a high-performance complementary Schottky Injection Field Effect Transistor (SINFET) technology for consumer and industrial power-control applications. The technology will be compatible with modern Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) CMOS processing technology for high-performance, reliable, and low-cost power-integrated-circuit (PIC) design.
